Call for doctoral students of the University of Oviedo (Spain)

The University of Oviedo (UO) offers to foreign doctoral students the possibility to spend nine months at UO. This is a call for joint PhD supervision -a supervisor from her/his home university where they are doing a PhD and another supervisor from the UO. The student should enroll the PhD Program in “Economics: Economic Analysis Instruments”. The UO will pay 800 €/month plus an amount for travel expenses. The call is in Spanish and the deadline for applications is December 27.

Through this website WASM is able to offer news, information, and services to sport management professionals, universities, students and visiters on a global scale. The services that the website provides are the opportunity to share and find internship and job opportunities, and study abroad programs.

Call for Papers: 17th Annual Congress of the Arbeitskreis Sportökonomie

Over the last years, the sports business has seen strong developments in different fields. Sports have changed, new kinds of sport have been integrated and established ones have become less important. Evolution and revolution accompany and challenge the sports business.

The Arbeitskreis Sportökonomie e.V. deals with these developments and discusses their challenges at the annual congress 2013 and invites you to submit abstracts in line with the conference topic „Evolution and Revolution in the Sports Business. Viewing Change from a Sports Economics Perspective“.

Call for Sub-theme Workshops, 21th EASM Conference, Istanbul 2013

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS POSTPONED TO 29 OCTOBER, 2012

EASM invites members to organise workshops on sub-themes of sport management at the 21th EASM Conference held in Istanbul, Turkey, 2013. Workshops aim to encourage a profound discussion and close cooperation between participants on a particular subtheme (which is a specific focus within a more general topic). If successful, workshops can channel their work into special issues in ESMQ or other journals or edited books.

Call for Papers: ESMQ 2014 Special Issue "Value Co-Creation in Sport Management"

The aim of this ESMQ Special Issue is to spark the debate over value co-creation in the context of sport management, to develop better theories, and to provide guidelines for sport managers for the design of value creation as a collaborative relational and dynamic process between multiple actors. Guest editors for this issue will be Herbert Woratschek, Chris Horbel, and Bastian Popp (University of Bayreuth, Germany).
