The Sport Management Program within the Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management (KNSM) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) seeks nominations and applicants to join an outstanding faculty of sport management educators in a program offering BS, MS, online MS, and PhD degrees in Sport Management. The Sport Management Program is seeking highly qualified sport management educators for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor. The Program places equal emphasis on the professional preparation of undergraduate and graduate students, and requires both rigorous scholarship and sponsored research agendas of its highly successful faculty. The Sport Management Program serves almost 700 undergraduate and graduate students.
Qualifications: Successful candidates for this position should hold a doctoral degree in Sport Management or a closely related discipline and must demonstrate a record of contribution to the mission of the Sport Management Program within KNSM, including successful and effective teaching ability, record of scholarly publications and presentations, and service to the profession of sport management. The candidate’s university teaching and scholarly record must be commensurate with appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor with a Graduate Faculty appointment at TAMU. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in finance, economics, marketing, or analytics.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conducting research and presenting research in scholarly publications and presentations, serving on departmental committees, and serving on master’s and doctoral committees.
Appointment: This is a nine-month position with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2023. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
