The Institute for Sport Business at Loughborough University London is recruiting for positions at either Lecture or Senior Lecturer level to join our world-recognised staff and our thriving postgraduate academic programmes.
Candidates with research and teaching expertise in sport marketing are strongly desired as well as the ability to work well in collaborative environments. Additional areas of sport business expertise we want include digital technologies, leadership, analytics, and/or innovation. We want candidates with an active research agenda in sport business, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to develop and nurture strong industry partnerships.
The Institute for Sport Business (ISB) incorporates an internationally recognised faculty of academics with research and teaching expertise in the business of sport. The Institute seeks to deliver world-leading research with a real-world impact in an era of significant social, economic and technological change.
The Institute runs five MSc programmes in Sport Marketing, Sport Analytics and Technologies, Sport Business and Innovation, Sport Business and Leadership, and Sustainable Sport Business, as well as a thriving PhD programme. With a strong culture of teamwork, our staff enjoy strong industry partnerships with both London-based and global sport enterprises and regularly engage in collaborative research projects as well as incorporating industry partnerships in the classroom.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate(s) will include, but are not limited to:
- maintaining an active and impactful research agenda, publishing in high-impact journals, and seeking external funding opportunities.
- delivering high-quality and innovative teaching in our MSc programmes, contributing to leadership of our MSc programmes, and engaging in curriculum reviews and development.
- supervising PhD students and Master’s dissertations and contributing to our flourishing research culture.
- engaging in enterprise activities such as collaborative research/teaching with industry partners and developing/nurturing strong industry relationships.
- contributing to the strong interdisciplinary nature of the School by pursuing cross-Institute collaborations when possible and serving in leadership roles and/or committees within the School when appropriate opportunities arise.
