Dear EASM members,

I am pleased to announce that European Sport Management Quarterly (ESMQ) has improved from a B to an A on the Australian Business Dean Council’s (ABDC) journal quality list. This is a position that we now share with Sport Management Review and the Journal of Sport Management. To recall, as well, all of these three Sport Management journals now have an IF above 2. This is great news for the field of Sport Management. I extend my thanks to Tracy Taylor – known to some of you – for making the case for ESMQ and, of course, to both Board and reviewer colleagues whose hard work underpins this further development of the journal’s external recognition. Details of the list can be found at

Best wishes,

Prof. Paul Downward
Editor ESMQ
